The LEED GOLD label on the wall of the R&D building is eye-catching, and the magnetic levitation refrigeration system, the waste heat recovery system, the wet membrane humidification system and the full roof of photovoltaic panels are very impressive.
As a nationally recognized green factory, and a “near-zero carbon emission” factory recognized in Suzhou, the company has, following the guidance of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), systematically instilled environmental concepts into its whole operation chain, setting a unique example for enterprises in SIP to reduce carbon emissions and shift to eco-friendly operations.
Since 2019, the company has carried out 20 energy saving projects which have allowed it to significantly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. In 2024, its photovoltaic power generation reached 2.27 million kWh which, plus purchased green electricity, has enabled the company to achieve 100% renewable energy usage.
The company has also extended the application of environmental concepts to its product design and supply chain. Its factory has significantly increased products’ power density through optimized design, and effectively reduced carbon emissions across the product lifecycle by adopting recycled materials.
