The Yilin Community Annals, which took over two years to compile, recently passed the final review.
Yilin Community, a community for people relocated under an urban renewal project in SIP’s Xietang Sub-district, was built in 2010. It covers a land area of 222,000 square meters, with a total population of more than 4,800.
The community boasts advantageous geographical location and profound culture represented by the 6,000-year-old Caoxieshan Site which is hailed as “a cultural scaleplate of prehistoric culture in the region south of Yangtze River”.
The compilation of Yilin Community Annals started in late 2022 and was finished in June this year. It records the evolution of the community over the past decades, covering grassroots governance and improvement of people’s well-being.
