SIP offered a training session on July 17 to help a number of delivery workers including on-demand food delivery cyclists and couriers improve their skills of coping with emergencies.
During the event, a professional lecturer demonstrated the CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) steps and the use of an AED (automated external defibrillator) to the participants, and emphasized the importance of performing CPR within the first four minutes of cardiac arrest.
The delivery workers then practiced the first aid skills they had learned and took a test.
In addition to learning first aid skills, the delivery workers also received cooling products from SIP Joint Trade Union of the Takeout Food Industry and blood pressure monitors from SIP Dongfang Huaxia Cardiovascular Health Research Institute.
