The Yangtze River Delta Alliance of NHTIDZs, which was formed in 2024 by 36 National High-Tech Industrial Development Zones (NHTIDZs) in the Yangtze River Delta region, held its 2025 conference in SIP on July 22. Representatives from the NHTIDZs and a number of financial institutions and enterprises participated.
At the event, the Integrated Service Center of the Torch Center Yangtze River Delta Center was put into service to provide services for roadshows, training and competitions that can help accelerate development of NHTIDZs in the Yangtze River Delta.
The Yangtze River Delta NHTIDZ Training Center and the Secretariat of the Yangtze River Delta Alliance of NHTIDZs were inaugurated, and the specialized committees for new nano materials and technology-driven finance were established.
China Construction Bank announced a financial service plan designed for business entities in NHTIDZs.
PICC Property and Casualty Co Ltd (PICC P&C), a leading property and casualty insurer in the country, gave an introduction to the “Torch Insurance” it designed in collaboration with the Torch Center Yangtze River Delta Center for sci-tech innovation enterprises.
A signing ceremony for the Torch Fund was held. The government-guided, market-oriented, professionally managed fund is tailored for businesses committed to developing breakthrough technologies that require immense imagination and innovation.
Liu Hui, director of the Cross-disciplinary Innovation Research Center of the School of Public Policy and Management at Tsinghua University and president of the Council of Zhongguancun Cross-disciplinary Innovation Alliance, gave the participants a keynote report on shift from sci-tech innovation to cross-disciplinary innovation.
