Suzhou is issuing the “Su Hui Youth Card” in an effort to provide non-local young talents in the city with more convenience and increase their sense of happiness. Statistics show that 435 people applied for the card within the first three days after its release and more than 100 of them have passed the review and received the card.
The card is issued free of charge to young people with a junior college degree or above who are newly introduced from outside Suzhou on and after March 27, 2025, have graduated within the past two years and have paid into the social insurance fund for the first time in the city.
The card holders can enjoy a long list of benefits including digital red envelopes containing digital RMB for taking bus and subway and buying annual tickets for Suzhou’s classical gardens, discounts for spendings on sports, entertainment, dining out and daily necessaries, and free assistance for resume improvement and interview preparation for landing a job.
Eligible young talents can apply for the card through the Suzhoudao, a mobile app, and get the card from any outlet of the Bank of China in the city.
