The event themed “Young Scientists ? Emerging Elites in the Field of AI” was held at Suzhou International Expo Centre, SIP on July 29, bringing together over 100 young tech talents, including UN organization representatives, scholars from top universities and leaders of tech companies.
Jointly sponsored by Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, AIM Global Centre of Excellence and SISPARK, the event offered the participants an opportunity to gain deep insights on the mission and vision of young AI researchers and brainstorm ideas for industrial innovation in SIP and global collaboration.
During the event, the Yangtze River Delta Young Scientists’ Club was formed, and the Report on AI + High-end Equipment Application and Trends, which outlines the latest practices in integration of AI and high-end manufacturing, was released.
Zelos, a company engaged in automatic driving technology, and SKYSYS, a supplier of automatic drone operation solutions, signed an agreement to launch strategic cooperation in joint use of unmanned cars and drones for patrol purposes.
In the “Sci-Tech Innovation ? New Youth Talk” session, five young scientists shared breakthroughs in smart manufacturing, flexible manufacturing and other fields, illustrating the shift from single-point innovations to systemic transformation in the field of AI.
In the discussion session, the guests exchanged opinions on international governance, integration of production and education, AI application in medical care and other issues.
In the following roundtable, experts from international organizations, research organizations and enterprises explored young talents’ roles in international cooperation, data governance and AI ethics, emphasizing young scientists’ responsibilities in advancing trustworthy AI.
